SOLAR ENERGY: Going Global
On April 23, 2012, over 200 people attended the GW Solar Institute 5th Annual Symposium, "SOLAR ENERGY: Going Global." The event convened major figures in the energy and solar arenas, including a keynote address from First Solar Vice President of Government Relations, Kathy Weiss, who spoke about the growing solar markets around the world; a panel moderated by World Bank Principal Climate Specialist, Alan Miller, on the role of concentrated solar power throughout the world; as well as a panel moderated by the Chair of the Energy Practice at Winston & Strawn LLP, Jerry Bloom, on the realistic economic and political outlook for solar that included a diverse set of panelists.
