As a part of the University's Sustainability Collaborative, the GW Solar Institute is able to serve all of GW's diverse community and schools. We partner with faculty and teach courses across the campus including at the Columbian College of Arts & Sciences, the School of Engineering & Applied Sciences, the School of Business, the Law School, the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy & Public Administration, and the School of Media & Public Affairs.  We also work closely with Planet Forward and the Office of Sustainability.

We view our work with these groups to be an integral part of our interdisplinary research agenda and we regularly participate in University wide initiatives and events designed further embrace the University's sustainability goals.

In addition, we strive to interact with GW's diverse student body and serve as a valuable resource to a rising generation eager to learn more about starting clean energy careers. We provide educational opportunities and training for students by teaching a variety of classes, helping students with coursework and research projects, providing internships at the Institute, and connecting students and alumni to jobs in the solar energy industry.

The GW Solar Institute's work is made possible by the strong backing of the leadership of the George Washington University.
